Here we have a 1969 Ford XL that is an amazing find, as this already rare car features the convertible body style, the GT package (which includes power front disc brakes, competition suspension, performance rear axle ratio, mag-style wheel covers and a rim-blow steering wheel) and factory A/C. Although the car's VIN indicates that it was born with a 390 V8, it now has the top-dog 429; evidently a former owner wanted the most potent engine in his XL. Re-finished in a vibrant Red, this XL boasts all its original body panels, which are rock solid and arrow straight. The underside is equally impressive and was coated with an oil-based undercoating that protected it. The car features hideaway headlights and still wears its mag-style wheel covers which accent the whitewall radials. The various chrome and stainless-steel trim are also very presentable. Inside, the original upholstery shows some wear but overall is in good condition. And that front bench seat means that six can ride in comfort. Even the original AM/FM radio still resides in the dash and the woodtone interior accents add a luxury vibe. Under the hood, the era-correct 429 dominates the engine bay.
