Deriving its name from the curving roof atop the driver's compartment, this workhorse Model T delivery truck harkens back to a time when horses were being replaced by faster, more efficient automobiles. and trucks. Simple and reliable, this truck shared the Model T's 177 cubic-inch inline four that made 22 horsepower, actually a respectable figure in the early days of the motorcar. Power was sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed transmission. The wooden body was covered in metal and the large panel sides were ideal for advertising one's company. That C-shaped cab allowed one to quickly and easily get in and out of the truck, a feature appreciated by a driver hustling to make their pickups and deliveries on schedule. Twin rear doors made loading and unloading cargo easier. This fine example of a 1912 Ford Model T C-Cab was meticulously restored approximately 15 years ago and has been properly stored and barely driven since. For added safety, this Model T was fitted with the popular and highly recommended Rocky Mountain brake system. Loaded with character and period-correct details such as a bulb horn, Acetylene headlamps and white rubber tires. We have gone through this stunning antique to ensure that it runs and drives as it did in 1912. Please call us for more information on this fantastic Model T C-Cab.
