Hot rods are as American as Apple Pie and Bruce Springsteen. We are very excited to offer this 1931 Ford Model A pickup hot rod that looks like it drove right out of American Graffiti. The recipient of a very high quality, three-year restoration that took over 2,000 man hours to create, this head-turning hot rod features an all-steel body with superb panel fitment. Indeed, the doors click shut with just a push of your finger. The custom touches include an iconic 32 Ford grille raked back about 15 degrees as well as the fabricated tilt-out windshield that provides a sleeker look along with more interior space. A two-tone Nutmeg Bronze and Black color scheme provides more visual impact, which is further accented with shaved door handles and classic Torq Thrust D wheels. Vintage-style Ford Twolite headlights provide bright beams while LED taillights and turn signals round out the lighting ensemble. All new tinted glass along with new window felts and weather stripping provide clear visibility and tight sealing. A contrasting tonneau cover accents the custom-fabricated steel bed, while below the body the undercarriage is so clean you could eat off of it. A trailer hitch makes this the ideal hauler for your Harley. Note that the front fenders are included but unpainted and not installed, as the previous owner/restorer preferred the no-fender look up front. Highlights of the tri-tone cabin are a beige bench seat (with matching seat belts, door panels and headliner), a Genie shifter, Auto Meter instruments, Lokar pedals and a Mahogany tilt steering wheel. Underpinning it all is a stout Total Performance frame with a straight front drop axle suspended by a transverse leaf spring. Out back is an adjustable coil-over suspension. Spinning those fat rear tires is a proven GM 350 V8 that was bored .030 over and sports four-bolt mains, a vintage Weiand aluminum intake, Holley 650 CFM carburetor with electric choke and chrome headers with an electrically-activated muffler bypass switch. The latter allows one to cruise quietly or, with the press of a button, hear that potent small block roar. A Walker aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps that power plant cool on even the hottest summer days while a Painless wiring setup further attests to the quality of this build. A TH350 automatic sends all that power to a Chevrolet S-10 rear end while four-wheel disc brakes provide strong stopping power. Coming complete with a 16-foot, enclosed RC trailer (with winch) and with less than 100 miles since the completion of its high-end build, this 31 Ford Model A pickup hot rod is ready to thrill car show onlookers and its driver alike.
