say a 69 Camaro or 66 Mustang. Here we have a beautiful and mostly original example of a 1953 Ford F-100 panel truck. Boasting a rock-solid underside and frame along with caring ownership and maintenance throughout its life, this mid-50s classic is ready to be enjoyed. It still retains its bulletproof 215 cubic-inch inline six and four-speed manual transmission powertrain that funs fantastic. On top of its impressively straight and solid sheet metal is a sharp red and black two-tone paint scheme that just looks so right to us. It is fittingly accented with black steel wheels wearing chrome trim rings and baby moon hubcaps along with modern Firestone radials in a beefy 235/75/R15 size. A set of modern towing-style mirrors make it much easier to back into parking spots and see cars to the side when traveling on the freeway. Inside the work truck its all business, with a heavy-duty floor mat and steel door panels. Two-tone upholstery adds a bit of pizzazz, while the dash boasts full instruments as well as the original three-spoke steering wheel whose hub celebrates Ford Motor Companys 50th anniversary. Options include turn signals and a heater (yes, those were options for many vehicles back then). The load floor is fitted with nicely finished wood planks and that cargo bay currently holds the original red wheels wearing new, original-style BF Goodrich Silvertown bias ply tires.
