1954 Ford F100 Pickup
The F100 series of pickups was introduced for the 2nd generation in 1953 and would join a line of history pickups for many years to come. These trucks introduced the 3 number nomenclature in their name which is something that continues even to present day. Throughout their life the F-series has a special place in automobile history as they are one of the highest sold vehicles to date. The second generation was marketed as the "Triple Economy" series and .....
had a wide range of options from light duty pickups to more heavy duty commercial trucks. The F100 was their 1/2 ton offering and this cool '54 has had a ton of work done to it. It is set up to be a nice reliable driver and has a cool hot rod style. We would cruise around in it as is but if someone wanted to take it to the next level for a small investment could elevate it into being a big time show truck. The body is all in good shape and features a two tone Black paint. The body panels are a suede Black with the fenders, grill, running boards and bumpers painted in a Gloss Black. Custom fender extensions have been added and are very unique. You don't notice it at first but they do give it a bit of a different look from stock. The original style emblems have been custom painted in a Turquoise color to create a nice accent and match the interior. It also has Turquoise "Ford" lettering with pinstriping on the tailgate. It has a wood bed for transporting stuff around and is primarily how the truck is currently used as it gets driven weekly by the current owner to pick up larger items. It rides on a set of new 17 inch Hurst Dazzler Mag wheels with Hurst center caps that are wrapped in new Michelin tires.
Powering this cool Ford is a rebuilt 351 Windsor motor. The truck is pictured with 5.0 emblems on the fenders but those have been removed. The engine runs great and fitted with Ford motorsport valve covers. It is paired with a rebuilt C6 automatic transmission that sends power back to the 2004 Crown Victoria rear end. As mentioned before, it is mechanically sound with all components throughout the drivetrain and suspension (also from a 2004 Crown Vic) already being gone through and addressed. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and are power. It also has power steering making it a very comfortable classic to cruise around in. Other nice upgrades include the electronic ignition and the gas tank has been relocated to under the bed.
The interior was redone in a custom two tone Black and Ford Caribbean Turquoise leather. It has a nice sliding bench seat with Black lap belts. The carpeting is all in good shape and it has a T-Handle side button shifter like what you would find in an older Mustang. The dash is painted to match the Turquoise upholstery as was the steering column. The dash has a custom pinstriped "V8" panel in the center and is topped off with White Dolphin gauges in a billet bezel. Under the dash is a Vintage AC/Heat unit that works great with no issues. The truck does not currently have a radio in place but does come with it.
This classic pickup has a really neat look and a lot of potential. Drive it as is, use it as your shop truck, or take it even further. The options are endless especially at our asking price!
It is being offered up for only $28,500.00!
