Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to present this 1957 Chevrolet 210 with Bel Air trim. You can't talk classic car history without bringing up the '57 Chevy. These cars are the flagship poster car for classic cars and even people not in the hobby can point them out. They are truly iconic. They were popular new and continue to be one of the most popular classic cars to own. Chevrolet actually made history with the '57 when they introduced the fuel-injected version which was the first .....
vehicle to reach I hp per cubic inch. The car you see here is a beautiful example of the type and was a very high-end build. The car is a bit of a sleeper because, besides the American Racing Torque Thruster D wheels, you would think it is all stock. However, when the car underwent a full restoration from 2010-2012 and from 2014-2015 the drivetrain was completely redone. The car is painted in a beautiful Porsche Red paint that has a great finish and is slicker than it was even new from the factory. The body is very solid, smooth, and entirely rust-free. The chrome and stainless is no different as it was all redone and had a beautiful shine. The glass is good as well with a slight tint throughout. The car has a great stance and looks good whether it is standing still or rolling down the road on those American Racing wheels with BF Goodrich radial tires. As mentioned before, from the outside it would appear this classic is mostly stock. Well pop the hood and that's where the car really shows off how it has been taken to the next level. It is now powered by a pro-built 383 stroker motor that has less than 5,000 miles on it. There is no doubt this beauty can spin the tires where its original 6-cylinder would have only made an attempt. It puts out 429 base HP at 466 ft-lbs of torque. The car is extremely clean under the hood with tons of chrome everywhere you look. The firewall is painted a gloss Black and all of the hoses and lines are cleanly routed. The motor utilizes a hydraulic roller cam, 1:5 roller rockers, Quick Fuel 680 fm carb, GM serpentine belt system, MSD pro billet ignition system, MSD Blaster 2 coil, and Holley electric fuel pump. The sound of the car is music to any car guy's ears with ceramic-coated Sanderson headers. The car has zero heating issues due to the BeCool aluminum cross-flow radiator with Spal dual electric fans. The motor is mated to a PTP Street and Strip GM 700R4 Phoenix transmission with PTP Street and Strip torque converter and a Phoenix electric lockup system. From there power transfers back to the GM 12 bolt rear end with limited slip and 373 gears. This is a classic anyone could drive thanks to upgrades like the CPP power steering and Wilwood disc brakes. The ride is very smooth down the road with a TCI 4 bar rear suspension with transverse bar and Koni coilover shocks. This 1957 Chevrolet 210 "Bel Air" is listed by our Dallas Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
