You don't say the word 409; you sing four oooooh nine. The Beach boys taught us this was the motor that owned the streets, and Chevy showed us the 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top coupe was the most beautiful way to get it. So it only gets better when you have a fully restored classic that gives you a terrific color combo, a comfy A/C interior, four-on-the-floor, an upgraded suspension, and a performance-built big block under the hood.

A bubble-top Impala is rare with the hallmark .....
skinny c-pillar and wraparound rear window. It's part of the design touches that did not make it onto any other year. And the exclusive style is just the base for a stunning exterior. The trim tag tells us this car was born Roman Red. And the way this one radiates today lets you know a small fortune was spent on it during the restoration. Large wraparound chrome bumpers, dual aerial, and full-length sweeping side trim with white insets all show a clean and straight cruiser style. And you can tell they took extra time to make sure the rear's wraparound trim look terrific. It helps define an almost built-in spoiler before meeting at a sharply dipping point in the middle. So you can tell the stylists were in charge when the '61 got produced. And there are also the right hints that this beauty is also brawny. The polished side pipe exhaust, lowered stance, and modern Coys alloys staggered 18/20 inches front/rear let you know this 409 surpasses your Beach Boys expectations (more on that in a moment.)

The interior carries the same red with white accent theme as the exterior, and so it makes for a great reason to keep all the windows down on this special hardtop. The idea was to keep it classic while subtly adding all the best upgrades. And you'll even appreciate the little details like the matching two-tone steering wheel and the working dome light. They've integrated the best cruiser upgrades like an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, modern speakers with a powered subwoofer, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And because you know there's a big block under the hood, there are the right driver upgrades. The shift light goes quite nicely with the Hurst shifter, and the crisp Dakota Digital gauges have a cool red glow to go with the interior.

The engine bay loves to use the dark and slick inner walls to funnel your attention to the upgraded heart in the middle. This is a classic Chevy big block, but the carbon fiber styled valve covers let you know it's unique build. This is a Lamar Walden Racing engine. In fact, while this is a famous 409 cubic-inch block, we're told it's likely stroked to be a whopping 482ci motor. It's enhanced further with Walden aluminum heads, a full MSD digital ignition system, and topped with a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. Plus, headers add even more power while also contributing to the rumble of the three-inch dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. This also has the right supporting components, like billet pulleys on a serpentine system and a Derale aluminum radiator with electric fans. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission is a stout unit that gives you full control over the power and rumbling soundtrack. As you look underneath, you see a style as clean as the rest of the car, and so it's easy to spot upgrades like tubular front A-arms, UMI performance trailing arms, rear sway bar, and CPP front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.

This is the iconic bubble top 409 Impala that has been upgraded to be even more of a stunner and a runner. So don't miss an icon that will have people singing your tune when you rumble on by. Call today!!!
