Description
This 1968 Ford F-250 4x4 has an industrial-grade level of cool. That means it has the right mix of beefy features and honest truck style. So if you know a guy everyone calls ""Pops"" who can take on everyone in a bar fight, he probably owned this truck.

Ford truck people know what a Highboy means for pickups. It's not a hot road for the road, but it is a start for the work-ready crowd. They must be from the heart of the fifth or sixth generation, a true F-250, .....
and have a divorced transfer case (it required the higher ""Highboy"" suspension.) The trim tag tells us all of that is true! And the full package feels quite genuine. The factory-correct Harbor Blue has a complete look where you'll find a mix of newer elements (like the resprayed hood) and older pieces verging on patina in a few places. It's all part of the stout style you see everywhere, right down to the 8-lug wheels. This feels authentic with side tow mirrors, a proper trailer hitch, an upgraded HD rear bumper, and a work-ready long bed with a toolbox. And not only does the white front bumper go well with the white grille and white wheels, but it also nicely integrates a Warn winch.

The exterior blue returns inside on the door panels and dash, and now it's joined by a tasteful black. This has a ready-to-work attitude with a durable black bench, rugged rubber floor, classic Ford steering wheel, and clean dash with proper heat/defrost controls. It's light, airy, basic, and sturdy - exactly how you want a truck like this to be.

Under the hood is the 240 cubic-inch inline-six. If you're not a truck person, you might wonder why there's not a V8 here, but if you are a truck person, you know this one is already practically perfect. It's a torque-filled powerhouse with a diesel-level of nearly indestructible reputation. You're not a speed demon in this Highboy, but there's a mighty stump-pulling force that is immediate when you start up in the low first gear, and the four-speed manual transmission lets you control the full power band. And It earns its Highboy nickname for the tall 4x4 stance that came directly from the factory on these extra-tough F-250s.
