Description
This 1968 Jeep Jeepster Commando has a more unique style than its CJ siblings But you can also tell the invested plenty to make sure this lives up to the name go-anywhere reputation of the Jeep name. With V8 power, 4x4 prowess, four-wheel disc brakes, a full roll cage, and plenty of off-road suspension upgrades, this is a distinct way to also be capable.

You know this Jeep means business the moment you lay eyes on it. The front end has a tubular steel front bumper with a brush guard, .....
tow hooks, and Hella lights. The sides have big flared fenders and steel rock sliders. In the rear, the tubular steel bumper holds the high lift jack, trailer hitch, and a swing-away mount for the spare tire and Jerry cans. It's all showcased on the unique Jeepster body that has the face of its contemporary CJ, but a sleeker overall body design. You even get artful doors with proper roll-up windows. And the full package is a nice mix of red and black that looks bold while also showcasing a style that tells the world that this classic is an adventurer.

While the black soft top looks good and fits snug, this one really looks best when open to the world. It's the right mix of form and function where the floors are fully Rhino-lined. And the seats have a terrific red and black two-tone that's done in durable vinyl. There are fun classic details, like the stock speedometer or the AM radio that's still there for display. But what you might like the best is how this utilizes the unique features of the Jeepster. There's a full custom roll cage over the long body, and because you have the extra length, there's room for a steel lockbox behind the rear seats. And the driver's seat is truly a commanding one with the upgraded sports steering wheel, auxiliary readouts, and a large AutoMeter Autogage tach.

For versatile power and limitless upgrade-ability, it's hard to beat the Chevy 350 small block V8. So it's great to see the upgrade under the hood of this nicely restored Jeep. The ultra-tidy engine bay does a great job showcasing the added thoughtful style where the red inner walls, black motor, and red accents coordinate with the exterior and interior. This later center bolt valve cover motor benefits from the addition of the right components for power and consistency. This includes a mild cam, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, HEI distributor, Optima red top battery, and shorty headers feeding the dual exhaust. Real Jeeps are the off-road kings, so the stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is linked to a two-speed transfer case for true 4x4 ability. The high ground clearance, custom drop spindles, upgraded diff covers, and Super Swamper tires are all part of the rugged nature. But even when you're just on a milk run, features like power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes are always handy.

This is an awesome way to get the best in classic Jeep style and ability in a truly unique package. Call today!!!
