The wheelbase had been shortened by 3 inches and the rubber increased to help the car be nimbler and grip off the line and in the corners. With a semi-fastback, flowing roofline that mimicked the notorious Camaro; it really gave the Chevelle a great stance! The Chevelle would see 3 generations spanning from .....
64-77. This model is a '69 and wow is she sharp. This Chevelle is believed a true SS, but they are hard to prove. She does have an "L" on the cowl tag but that alone isn't enough to prove it. Since we don't have the build sheet we must list is as a tribute. The Garnet Red paint looks great and has a nice shine, was repainted in 2005. The SS rims with Goodyear tires gives her the iconic stance! Inside you'll find red vinyl interior that matches the color tones and is in good order. Under the hood is a rebuilt JK-code L35 325hp 396ci 4bbl V8 backed by a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission, believed a Turbo 400. She is sporting a 12-bolt rear end with 3.07 gear ratio so she will be a nice cruiser as well having the power when you need it or simply want it! The car runs, drives, and shifts out very well and truly is a nice example of a '69 Chevelle. Central Ohio Engine Rebuilders rebuilt the motor and Corvette Corner rebuilt the trans in 2008. The restoration of the car itself is stated to have occurred prior to the powertrain starting in 2005. Additional details available upon request.
