Azure was already being produced when Bentley was purchased by the Volkswagen Auto Group in 1998. While later Bentleys went on to share their chassis platform with Audis and even the VW Phaeton, this last generation of Azure was an update of the existing Bentley engine and chassis. One of only 25 imported to the U.S. in the last year of production for the Azure, it is powered by the 6.75 liter V8 originally shared with Rolls Royce dating back to the late 60's - in this case, equipped with twin turbos and producing 507hp and 738lb-ft of torque. Visually, the T had larger two-piece polished alloy wheels and special trim to differentiate it from the regular Azure.
