1955 Dodge C-1 half ton truck. Flat head 6 with 3 speed on the column. Disassembled rolling project that was abandoned due to health. I first saw this truck back in 1977 sitting in a friends yard in the Ozarks. His grandfather bought it new, used it on the farm and parked it in the late 60's. My buddy got it in the late 80's and started restoring it but fell on some health problems that would not let him continue. I bought it a couple years ago with the intentions of finishing it, but .....
realistically, its not going to happen.
Truck was completely taken apart and the frame was blasted and painted. He went through the brakes and suspension, but I dont know to what degree the engine and transmission have been worked on. I got a new 6 volt battery and got it to turn over, but never started it. Some very minor rust was repaired in the cab corners, but the rest of the truck was straight enough that all it needed was stripped and primed. The running boards have rust in them and will probably need replaced. The hard to find back glass is still with the truck and all 4 original 15" wheels are there. Would make an easy project for the novice or accomplished restorer. There is a title but its been signed it the wrong place, so Ill say 'no title'. Couldnt get him to get a duplicate Missouri title.
Its one of those situations where you help a buddy out and pay too much for something you have no business getting into. Its time for someone else to enjoy an easy project.
