The hottest VW bus on the market. Really, it brings smiles and joy to everyone that sees it. Other than our movie car's, more people have been taking pictures next to this than any other car! It has just finished a rotisserie restoration, it is fresh. It was purchased by a collector of ours who took it to the next level and turned this camper into a Pro touring bus! He spent over $20,000 on air ride, new suspension, and a hopped up motor and trans. Not only will you be driving in style, but .....
you'll also be getting to where you're going twice as fast.
EXTERIOR: This Samba is decked out. It has the famous 23 windows, two luggage racks with a ladder, a sliding convertible roof with a wind deflector, cyclops light. Many of the windows pop open including the two front windshields. It has been completely restored. The body has big flat panels, and they are straight, no signs of rust or damage. The paint is smooth and glossy. The two tones are broken up with a polished aluminum band which also enhances the V design in front. The bumpers are painted smooth and glossy. It has a nice aluminum running board. All the glass is really clear, some of it is new. All the gaskets around them have been replaced. The convertible roof is new and functions easily. Mirrors, handles, taillights and the chrome VW in front all look new. The new 17x7 Chrome Raider Wheels with new Nitto NeoGen tires give it the pro touring look especially when the air ride is slammed down. It has 2 roof racks that are included, we thought as a pro touring it looks better without them.
INTERIOR: It is brand new inside this camper bus. The entire inside was gutted, prepped, and painted white. Up front in the driver's compartment all the chrome bits and pieces are replated. The seats have new cushions and are upholstered in a real nice vintage plaid material. The door panels are done to match. It has an auxiliary fan, cup holder basket and a tray below the dash. Overhead has the fresh air ventilation system with an LED interior light. New visors. The passenger seat flips up and there's a storage compartment underneath. Down on the floor it has new carpet with bound edges. The shifter and emergency brake handle have upholstered boots. In the camper section it has high quality, professionally built custom laminate cabinets. The panels are finished on all sides and have premium hinges. There is lots of storage. There are 2 tables that fold out. The kitchen area has a sink, electric stove top and a refrigerator. The bench seat folds flat and makes a bed. It has new laminate flooring. Overhead is a new white perforated headliner that stretches front to back. It also has nice looking curtains at each window. The upholstery and cushions are all new. I am impressed with the quality; this was done by a professional cabinet maker.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: New $9,000 high performance motor! This bus was turned into a pro touring build with an all new crate Strictly Foreign Super Street 2332cc stroker engine. It features a new magnesium case, balanced rods and forged pistons, Engle cam and lifters, big valve performance heads, dual 44 HPMXcarbs, aluminum valve covers and much more with dual carbs. It has a high flow oil pump, oil cooler and remote filter. It's as clean as a whistle.
UNDERSIDE: The entire bottom is clean metal and was painted gloss red. The suspension has been replaced for a unique one of a pro touring setup. It features All new steering linkage, tie rods, steering box up front. It's completed with AirKewld disc conversion spindles kit front and rear. The brakes have been upgraded with AirKewld's disc conversion kit which consists of drilled rotors and Wilwood brake calipers on all 4 corners. The Suspension has also been upgraded to Classic VW bus Air ride kit front and rear with all new Ridetech air shocks, compressor, and tank. Polished and tuned stainless Sidewinder exhaust. The transmission was also upgraded with Strictly Foreign Super Street Freeway Flyer 4 speed with a new stage 2 clutch. Tying everything together is the Strictly Foreign Super Street IRS system with AirKewld housing and 4.12 gearing. It allows you to cruise 70MPH at 3270 RPM.
Someone is getting a great value. We sold this to a collector that loves making upgrades. He spent well over $20,000 making it a pro touring and only put 50 miles on it. You are paying the same price he paid without all the upgrades! I just read these are considered one of the top 10 campers. It fits in the garage, you can drive it to work every day, and go camping on the weekends. I think cruising around and taking it to the cruise nights is where you can get the most satisfaction. People are drawn to it and it makes everyone that sees it happy. Just think how happy it will make you to share this ""Happy Camper""!
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum.
