1965 Factory Five Cobra
Factory Five Racing was founded in 1995 as a start up business but grew to be one of the largest manufacturers of Cobras and Street Rods. Their Roadsters are constructed to accurately represent the 427 Cobra while giving you a starting point to construct it to your specs. This nice Cobra is a neat car painted in a brilliant Blue finish with dual White racing stripes. You will note a speed shop logo on each door but do not worry, those are vinyl and easily .....
removable. It has the single drivers side roll bar which is nicely chromed. In back it has the full bumper and in front the single bumperettes combined with the center oval scoop. The windshield is in good condition and has the tinted upper sunvisors and windwings. On the right rear fender is the larger chrome gas cap which is nicely recessed in. The 18 inch Shelby wheels are nicely painted Blue to match and are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta SPT tires.
Turning the tires is a nicely built 302 high output motor that is a fresh build. It is fitted with an Edelbrock air gap manifold, Cobra valve covers, an MSD distributor, MSD ignition and Holley air cleaner. Paired with the motor is a 5 speed manual transmission that sends power back to the 10 bolt rear end. The car has a great sound through the ceramic coated side pipes. Other nice features include the 4 wheel disc brakes and coil over suspension.
The interior is done in nice Black upholstery and is in good shape. The seats have a diamond stitch insert with white around the edges. The dash is nicely upholstered as well and features the White racing stripes feeding off the dash. It has Black Stewart Warner gauges and a Kenwood stereo with DVD player. Behind the seats are Pioneer speakers which deliver a great sound. In front of the driver sits a wood grain Cobra steering wheel and down below are AC pedals. The trunk is nicely carpeted and houses the Super Start Extreme battery and the fuel cell. On the battery terminal is a cut off switch so you can power it down and preserve the power when not in use.
This is a nice Cobra and with 3,814 miles since completion has a long life ahead of it.
